2005: Sarah’s Second Chance

In spring 2005, reporter Stacy Kess and photographer Kim Brent followed a 6-year-old child with neonatal hepatitis and her family through the process of being listed for a transplant into the operating room for surgery and through the ups and downs of recovery. The 4-part series was nominated for and won a Michigan Associated Press Award.
